This Doesn't Sound Good

E1 Only The Beginning
Location: USS Magellan; Transporter Room Two
Timeline: MD09 1650
Normally he would either be in his ready room or his office right now, but with the Gisborne arriving any moment now, his place was on the bridge. It was about two minutes away. He stood, "Number One, you have the bridge." He walked to the turbolift and stepped inside. "Deck six, transporter room two."
"Bridge to Terax, Gisborne is hailing, they are ready to transport over."
"Thanks, Terax out." The ride was over, and he was in the Transporter room within a few moments. He stepped inside and nodded to the transporter chief. "Energise when ready."
The sound of the transporter faded away and there stood 3 officers, including Captain Oriana Yorke. "Welcome to the Magellan Oriana. A shame it isn't a social visit. I think you still owe me a rematch of dom-jot." He smiled at her. She smiled back, but something was clearly bothering her.
"I won fair and square Anjad. Don't give me that rematch crap." She let out a laugh. She stood slightly straighter and pointed to the two officers with her. "Game time Captain. This is Commander Declan Arroyo, my XO, and Lieutenant Commander..."
"Nazae Parem. It's been a long time." Terax interrupted.
"It has Captain." She looked to Captain Yorke, who had a puzzled face. "We were both at the Trill Symbiosis Commission for a few weeks together." He turned back to Anjad. "I assume everything worked out for the best then?"
A warm smile passed over his face. She had helped him cope with his joining after he was joined in less than ideal circumstances. "Yes, everything worked out just fine. I never did thank you for that. I owe you so much."
She returned the smile. "You can help repay me by giving me your observation room, and your senior staff. I'm on detached duty to Starfleet Intelligence. We have a lot to discuss."
"This doesn't sound good." He tapped his comm badge. "Terax to senior staff. Report to the observation lounge."
